Building One Zenix: Strengthening Our Aerospace Leadership Bench

New appointments across Business Development, North America, Weston and Engineering Leadership mark the next phase of the Group’s growth.

Press Releases

Scott McLarty, Group Chief Executive Officer, announces new appointments across Business Development, North America, Weston and Engineering Leadership, marking the next phase of Zenix Aerospace’s growth.

Zenix has been building something bigger than a group of sites. One Zenix is a promise to our customers, our people, and our partners that wherever they engage with us, they get the same standard, the same values, and the same experience — to elevate aerospace. Over the past few weeks, we have taken several significant steps toward that promise, bringing additional experienced leaders into the business and reshaping how we work together across our global locations.

Here is a look at what has changed, and why it matters:

What has changed

  1. Zenix Aerospace is transitioning to an aligned, global Business Development organisation reporting directly to Group CEO Scott McLarty.
  2. New leadership appointments strengthen our alignment across North America, Europe and Asia.
  3. Expanded engineering leadership enhances our manufacturing processes and New Product Introduction (NPI) capabilities globally.

One Global Voice for Our Global Aerospace Business Development Structure

Historically, Business Development and customer relationships were managed independently within each of our operating businesses. That approach served us well as individual sites, but it also meant that customers working across multiple parts of Zenix Aerospace did not always experience us as a single, coordinated partner, and we were not always bringing the full strength of our combined capabilities to new opportunities.

To fix that, we are moving to an aligned, global Business Development organisation reporting directly to Scott McLarty, Group Chief Executive Officer. This structure is designed to deliver:

What the new structure delivers

  1. A single face to the customer. Consistent, coordinated engagement no matter which part of Zenix a customer is speaking with.
  2. Stronger competitive positioning. The full breadth of Zenix’s capability presented in every pursuit.
  3. Better regional responsiveness. Regional Business Development leaders working alongside regional P&L leaders, so decisions are made close to the market.
  4. Clearer accountability. A direct line to the Group CEO, tying Business Development strategy to Zenix’s overall growth priorities.

Operating businesses continue to provide the technical expertise, capability insight and delivery credibility that win us trust, but customer-facing strategy and coordination now sit within this new global structure.

Annette Weekes appointed VP Business Development and Commercial, Europe and Asia

As the first step in this transition, Annette Weekes has been appointed Vice President, Business Development and Commercial for Europe and Asia, reporting to Scott McLarty, Group Chief Executive Officer. Annette will work closely with regional operations leadership to ensure Business Development processes and teams are integrated across the region, presenting one voice to customers throughout Europe and Asia.

New Aerospace Leadership Appointments in North America

The same organisational clarity is now extending across the Atlantic. Effective 31 August 2026, we are pleased to confirm two appointments in North America.

Ed Clark, Senior Vice President and General Manager, North America. Ed reports to Neil Taggart, Chief Operating Officer, and assumes full P&L responsibility for the region’s operations. He brings more than 30 years in aerospace, beginning his career as a mechanic at Trans World Airlines before moving through engineering and leadership roles at Southwest Airlines and Boeing, including VP Commercial Service Programmes, VP Engineering and VP Technical Global Operations, most recently serving as VP and GM of the 737 Programme.

Andres Budo, Vice President, Business Development and Commercial, North America. Andres reports to Scott McLarty, Group Chief Executive Officer, and brings over 25 years in aerospace and defence across Control Logistics, Ryan Sales International, Airbus and AVIC, most recently as Senior Vice President Commercial for AVIC Cabin Systems. Andres’ appointment brings North America into the same aligned Business Development model already established in Europe and Asia.

A New Leader for Weston

As Annette steps fully into her regional Business Development role, Dave Davies joins Zenix Aerospace as Vice President and General Manager, Weston, effective 1 September 2026, reporting to Neil Taggart, Chief Operating Officer. Dave and Annette are working through a structured handover to ensure full continuity of leadership and business operations at the site.

Dave brings more than 30 years in the aerospace industry, most recently as President and Managing Director of Airbus Atlantic Maroc. His career spans senior leadership roles across the Malaysian aerospace industry, including Site Director at GKN Aerospace, Managing Director of Aeroku Services and Chief Executive Officer of SME Aerospace, and began with an apprenticeship at BAE Systems followed by operations leadership roles with BAE Systems, Spirit and Strata.

Three Regions, One Standard: Completing Our Regional Leadership

With these appointments, Zenix now has all three of its regional P&L leaders in place. Kavan Singh continues to lead as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Asia, reporting to Neil Taggart, Chief Operating Officer, working alongside Ed Clark in North America and Dave Davies in Weston to build our operations around the three regions in which Zenix operates.

Regional P&L leadership

North America
Ed Clark — SVP & General Manager
Weston, U.K.
Dave Davies — VP & General Manager
Asia
Kavan Singh — SVP & General Manager

Together, these three regional leaders give Zenix a consistent operating rhythm across every site, working in parallel with our new global Business Development structure to ensure the same standard, wherever in the world a customer meets us.

Growing our Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering Capability

Leadership growth is not limited to the commercial side of the business. Based at Weston and reporting to Chief Operating Officer Neil Taggart, two new Group Director appointments strengthen our engineering foundations.

John McGrail, Group Director of Manufacturing Engineering. John owns the Group’s standing manufacturing process and capital equipment strategy. John’s career includes multiple roles at BAE Systems, most recently Head of Design and Manufacture at the Aircraft Research Association, as well as Engineering Manager at Magellan Aerospace.

Ray Gibbs, Group Director of NPI and Application Engineering. Ray leads the introduction of new parts, programmes and equipment into production across the Group. Ray joins from Kyocera SGS Precision Tools Europe, most recently as Global Aerospace Technologies Manager, having started his career as an apprentice toolmaker.

Together, John and Ray’s appointments build on the work already underway to develop Zenix’s engineering capability, with Site Manufacturing Engineering and NPI/Application leads now reporting functionally into this Group structure.

One Zenix Aerospace Team, Moving in the Same Direction

Five appointments, one thread: as Zenix grows, with all three regional P&L leaders now in place alongside our new global Business Development structure, we are investing in the leadership, structure and clarity needed to act as one organisation rather than a collection of sites. It is a practical expression of what One Zenix means, bringing deep aerospace experience into the business while making sure every customer, wherever they meet us, meets the same Zenix.

We are pleased to welcome Dave, Ed, Andres, John and Ray to the business, and to congratulate Annette on her expanded role.
